Anjou Music Festival is a French event located near Angers which has just held its second edition in 2024. The French DJs line up : DJ Bens (Urban Music), DJ Fou (Need I say more?), Darktek (Hard-Techno), NJ (Latin House), Jordan Patural (Techno Accordionist), Léo Offline (House Techno) and Pascal Léoty (Le Kameleon du Son) As well as the two winners of the Competition organized by the AMF: Dorian and Lixis.
The organization was excellent, the sound system of good quality and the lighting well seen. A great event, can’t wait for the next edition. On the musical side, a lot of microphone animation (Usual in France), a generaly popular selections and a “Builds and Drops” succession worthy of the biggest global events. Perhaps a few breaths were missing (that I added to this mix) to allow the very busy ears of the public to rest. Nevertheless the work of the sound engineers was excellent and the sound level carefully monitored to not generate the tinnitus inherent to this type of event.
This mix is’nt my usual style but I now understand that this type of music is the highlight of great DJ festivals around the world From Miami to Ibiza via Tomorrowland. Here is my first “Big-Room/Mainstage” programming in tribute to this great festival.
